The history of The Boat Race

In 2023, the Cambridge and Oxford race would comprise 76th woman’s and 167th men’s boat race. An interesting fact about the history of the participants is that Oxford University Boat Club was established with the sole purpose of winning the race. The first Boat Race took place in 1829 which was inspired by the cricket match between Oxford and Cambridge not long ago before that.
