The Get Heli Experience

description_heading

Flying by helicopter to Glastonbury is the fastest, most stylish way to get to the festival — no traffic, no queues, no stress. Get Heli offers both private charter flights and per-seat shuttle options, making helicopter travel more accessible than ever.

♻️ Shared Flights, Smarter Impact

By grouping passengers into shared helicopters, we reduce the number of half-empty flights — a more efficient, responsible way to fly. It's a premium experience, yes, but also a more conscious way to fly.

All flights land at the official Glastonbury helipad, just a short distance from Worthy Farm. From there, you can transfer to your camp or accommodation.

We work only with licensed UK operators and use twin-engine helicopters for safety and comfort. The shuttle flights depart from London Heliport in Battersea — the only shared helicopter service from Central London — and include access to the VIP lounge before boarding.

Your Questions Answered

Where is Glastonbury Festival held?

Glastonbury Festival takes place on Worthy Farm in Pilton, a village in the county of Somerset. Pilton is a fifteen minute drive from the larger town of Glastonbury where the festival takes its name from.

When did Glastonbury Festival start?

The festival's history dates back to 1970. The first festival, founded by Michael Eavis, was held the day after the death of Jimi Hendrix and had roughly 1,500 people in attendance. The price of admission was one pound and included free milk from the farm.

What is Glastonbury Festival famous for?

Since it was established as a music festival, Glastonbury has grown and evolved to include everything imaginable under the umbrella of performing arts. The festival features live performances from some of the biggest names in music as well as comedy, circus acts, theatre and literature.

Is Glastonbury Festival a charity?

Glastonbury works very closely with three major charities, Oxfam, Water Aid and Greenpeace as well as supporting a number of local charitable organisations.

Is Glastonbury Festival held every year?

Glastonbury Festival is typically held four out of every five years. Every fifth year is known as a fallow year, during which no festival is held to allow the land at Worthy Farm—and the local community—to rest and recover. The last planned fallow year was in 2018. Although the festival was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, those were not official fallow years. The next planned fallow year is expected to be 2026, following the 2025 festival.

How long is the flight from London Heliport to Glastonbury?

The helicopter flight takes around 45 mins, depending on the weather and air traffic on the day.

Do I need to book the whole helicopter?

No. You can book a single seat on our shuttle flight or arrange a bespoke charter for your party.

What should I expect at London Heliport?

You’ll be welcomed at the VIP lounge in Battersea, with comfortable seating, refreshments and private boarding.

What happens after I land?

The helicopter lands at the designated helipad near the festival. You’ll need to arrange transfer from there to your campsite or accommodation.

Do I need a festival ticket to book a flight?

Yes. Our flights only include the transfer — entry to the festival must be arranged separately.
